Domestic Terror Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Domestic Terror

Domestic terror.
Homegrown and sickens.
Permitted to keep it feared.
As staging threats,
Are established to manifest.

Domestic terror.
From pulpits and podiums preached.
Only keep people wanting,
More police seen on the streets.

But the leaders elected,
Pretend they don't condone...
Division.
And from their rhetoric,
Contradictions still go on.

It's just a madness to accept.
To not ignore it but expect.
And kept to believe,
It's not staged to establish...
Sickened mentalities.

It's just a madness to accept.
To not ignore it but expect.
With it done to blame on others,
To suspect.

People are on hate trips.
And picking to select their fights.
Even those uninvited,
Are provoked to just incite.

People are on their hate trips.
And doing this requested.
By those who believe themselves better.
But have no souls or feeling hearts.

Tearing everybody apart.
With evil.
Tearing everybody apart.

Tearing everybody apart.
With evil.
Tearing everybody apart.
