Don't Call My Death A Death Poem by Arun Maji

Don't Call My Death A Death

Rating: 5.0

Let me die a humble death
carrying no fame, no fortune, no praise.
Like- death of a peasant, an insignificant.

Let me die a young beautiful death.
while my eyes still dreaming, teeth still smiling,
heart still dancing, soul still singing.

Let me die a happy death, a joyful death
while my senses still devouring-
Sun smiling, bees humming, wind whistling.

Let me die a silent serene death-
silent as sleeping night,
serene as meditating mountain.

Let me die a happy peaceful death-
happy as smile of innocent child,
peaceful as fading tune of a flute.

Let's not call my death a death
call it- faded tune of a flute.
