Don't cry my love if I die;
My lovely friend, my heart, I
Fear to tell you....Can't find you
Missing me to play, to tell you ghostly tales
Kissing your sweet lovely cheeks...
I fear to die, fear to sail that unknown
World of limitless sea...
My bountiful love, I cry, I fear to die,
But you don't cry if I die.
The time I go to sleep, I fear to think, if I am going to sleep for the last time!
a Poet's Notes? i wonder if this is for a child or grandchild.........or young(er) wife? usually i would not be attracted to a die/die rhyme, OR lake/lake, ball/ball, etc. but i like the whole poem including the last two lines. to MyPoemList. bri ;)
It's a father's notes of his love and anxiety for his lovely 5yr daughter, Aleyah
A father's notes of love with anxiety.....It's for my lovely 5yr daughter, Aleyah
