Don't Do It, My Dear Friend Poem by Hebert Logerie

Don't Do It, My Dear Friend

Life was not meant to be easy
The roads have always been rocky
The streets are not paved with gold
And the sky cannot be fold and unfold
Don't do it, my dear friend
If you need a helping hand
Just reach out, take a long walk
Meditate, have a long talk
With someone special and pray
Problems do not fly away
Problems are solved bit by bit
Slowly by being bright and creative
Be alert, quick and proactive
Always watch for the big crate
Because gravity can't be controlled
And the world can't be fully patrolled
Don't think about it, my friend
We all need a helping hand
To cross the bridge of our daily lives
Don't do it; suicide is not the answer
Don't do it, when the devil arrives
Fight with courage, wisdom and vigor
Fight the bad thoughts with God's words
Be valiant. Use all types of swords
That you have at your disposal
Be in control; be the grand marshal.
