Don't Question The Past Poem by Kishore Kumar Das

Why question the past?
for 'past' was like 'present'
rationality was there
people were wise
everybody was acting like now
natural calamities were there
the same earth was there
everybody was a slave to situation
spending time and energy
striving for better days...
do you blame the nature
for drought, flood, cyclone or earthquake
that had battered the past?
then how can you blame the people
for your inherited problems?
you can only learn from the past
learning is your birth right....
to help make wise decisions
tomorrow
today shall become yesterday
the cycle continues....
'work' in tandem with 'time'
the same treatment applies to 'future' also...
Future tells...
it may happen
but it has not happened till now
that is the characteristic of future
the first sentence invites worries
the second sentence stalls that
once you throw away the past
and isolate the future
you can get plenty of time
to improve the health
of your body and mind.
