Don'T Tell Me Poem by Jamal Brown

Don'T Tell Me

Don't tell me that I can't
because I know that I can.
Don't tell me to give up,
because I'm a winner,
and we don't quit.
Don't tell me that I'm a
nobody, because I'm
destined to be somebody.
Don't tell me I'm stupid,
because I probably know
more that you in some
things.
Don't say I'm smarter
than that, because I
still make mistakes.
Don't tell me to go
home, because this is
only a temporary home.
Don't tell me that it's impossible,
because I know a man who
can make it happen.
And don't tell me that
the sky is the limit,
because there are footsteps
on the moon.
