Don't Tell Me Poem by Ray Hansell

Don't Tell Me

Rating: 4.5

When you close your eyes
Tell me who you see
Is it someone else?
Or are you seeing me?

At night when you dream
Am I your fantasy?
Or, is there someone else?
That you see instead of me

I always see you in my dreams
When I do I know I smile
I always want to see you there
You make my dreams worthwhile

I love you when you're asleep
I love you when you're awake
Because with you I get to share
Every new dawn that breaks

When you close your eyes
Don't tell me who you see
Especially if that someone
Turns out not to be me
