Don't Believe In Love, Forever Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Don't Believe In Love, Forever

Don't believe in love forever
It is just a state of mind
If you believe, you will cry a river
Sink into the deepest kind of lie

If love were real and not for pretending
Then love would keep us where we are
In the moment and the quivers
Shared by lovers with one heart

When the feeling becomes so empty
It is not for love to try
Love survives the lusting moments
Love is holding in the night

There have been so many reasons
So many times could have been one last, Goodbye
Holding on is not a reason
If you don't see love within the eyes

I could cry for you forever
Because I love you from inside
I can't promise just to keep you
If you ever let love die

In my heart I feel a burning
Like only you keep me alive
Now while the time is ours together
Make a promise with a lie

You know I will believe you
You know I will someday learn to survive
Until our romance ends without communication
Love me once again tonight
