Don't Let Me Die With Never Loving You Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Don't Let Me Die With Never Loving You

In my heart is a song I yearn to sing
A story of a feeling and a dream
It's about the love I'm afraid to ask of you
The kind of hope, for a love- you'll feel too

Wedding bells are living daydreams in my mind
To hold my girl, the lovely vision, I wish were mine
I'm a dreamer for a story not yet told
Will I be broken before I ever know

Don't let me die with never loving you
Give me time to show my worth so ever true
You're my forever that the angels wish to be
You're the love that the dear Lord made for me

Be my darling beyond this world of make believe
Be the sunshine in the morning I'll always see
Just tell me darling that you feel this way too
Bring my daydream to be my loving you

There are days I wish I was much more than I am
Where I give you all the treasures that I can
You are worth so much more than I shall ever be
But still I hold on to this hope inside of me

If there are wishes that a prayer could somehow bring
Then hear my song Lord as I pray for this one thing
I can promise 'forever' to love her, true
This one love is all I'll ever ask of you

Don't let me die with never loving, her
Bring me home with a smile, here I'll earn
Let our love rise up before the heaven's blue
To make the glory of our blessing shine for you

Dear Heart, I dream that you will see past my lowly worth
That in yourself my love will become well deserved
Please forgive for what I really am
Just a daydream wishing only for your hand
