Dont Play With Chain Saws Poem by Douglas Alan Stromback

Dont Play With Chain Saws

Rating: 4.0

there was a little boy, sitting on a log, looking for a new toy, crying cause mama wasn't buying the hedge hog
so he sat there wondering what to do, he wanted a toy that was new, so he sat, with his fists under his chin and looked over his ball and bat, and the rest of the toys in there bin
and he got up from the log, and he yelled i need something new, so he went looking for a frog, started walking to the woods but he heard a boo
so he ran from the woods, back to the log and said i don't need a frog, i'll find a worm that does squirm
so he goes into the shed, looking for a shovel to use in his worm dig, it is not there it is in the garden bed
but his eyes light up, he sees the chain saw, and all of sudden he feels a tug on his pants from his pup
the boy looks down, the pup is pointing with his paw, he doesn't know what the pup does say, the boy says go right now i can't play
the boy grabs the chain saw, leaves the shed, and looks at the log with awe, you're going to be a tooth pick, do you understand what i said, the boy gives the log a kick
he looks at the chain saw button that says start, his mouth salivating, his heart is beating, he pushes the button and pulls the string and on the ground the chain saw is putt, putt, puttin
he picks it up and grabs the chain saw thing, and he drops it on his leg, and the blood is squirting, and the boy is hurting, and the blood is flying, oh God, and yes he is crying.
the pup is barking, the dad is parking, the chain saw is still running, and the sun is still sunning
and the boys leg is hanging, and dad sees what is happening, and on his car horn he is banging, there ain't going to be a slapping
mama comes running from the house, dad runs over takes off his coat, wraps up the leg, mama stands there with blood on the blouse
they all get in the car drive off to the hospital, so take note don't play with chain saws, before you take it out of the shed, stop and stall, or you may have a peg leg, or hands that are claws
