Drawing On A Boat Launching On The Cold River Poem by Kinsley Lee

Drawing On A Boat Launching On The Cold River

A lone boat cuts across the river,
the clear rocks on riverside gleam and glow,
While the far-off sky is veiled in slanted
lines of drifting, it's finely snow.
The winter water of the riverside aside
the sand-bank, the fishes hide below
The deep water. The waves on the surface of river,
it clashes on the wind and a kingfisher flies low.

Where will this fate, which living in exile,
cease this ebbing and flowing time?
This winter season, the idle and free plans,
it seems, drift apart from the this time,
And even though it's far from here, the paths
to see the king, and I know the ways.
The steed that once stirred winds and dust
on the plain, which's getting weights these days.
