Dreamcatcher Poem by Patti Masterman

Dreamcatcher

Rating: 4.5

Dreamcatcher, please catch my dreams;
The secret ones, with silver seams,
Or diamond bits, in eyes and smiles..

Long roads we travel in this life,
Please take the strife I nightly face,
So those at least, are peaceful miles..

Hold the jewels, in trust for me;
Let others through your web, fly free-
Lord knows we have enough of trials..

I feel you up there, in the dark
Catching dreams, with tiny sparks
As the hours of night, beguile...

Lovely thoughts about the magical idea of a dream catcher and it a repository for the hard times.

Title of one of my favorite movies. Somehow this seems to own a space equal to the spirit of the movie...but with a glimmer of romance possible here. I like it. Maybe diamonds are still worth catching, yathink? This poem is sure worth catching. a 10
