Dreaming Of Sydney Poem by Lilly Rose

Dreaming Of Sydney

When my eyes close,
I see your face.
A smile plays across your lips,
Joy radiates from your form.
This, this is what it means,
What they mean when they
Claim to be alive.
They must envision you.
I know I do.
I lay in bed at night,
With only thoughts of you
Between me and the sky.
You’re extraordinary.
Not extra-ordinary.
Completely unique in
A captivating kind of way.
I don’t mind your chains.
For they are the softest
Chains I have ever known.
No form of expression
Will ever do justice to your
Bubbly personality.
Girl in white,
Nothing compares to the
Wonder you have inside.
I was wondering.
Can you be mine?
