Dreams/Nightmares Poem by Kathryn Miller

Dreams/Nightmares

While deep asleep at night,
We let our imaginations run,
They aren't always remembered,
But a part if us never forgets the feelings felt,
They can show us what we want,
They can show us what we fear most,
Or they can show us the most random things,
Some believe they are dreamt to replay our day with a different twist,
Some believe they are our bodies telling us something,
And some don't care,
Science says we aren't supposed to believe them,
But every once in a while one tends to never be forgotten,
They can be in all diffrent time lengths,
I'm not afraid of my dreams,
I try to remember them,
I guess that's true for all of us,
Until one time I had nightmare after nightmare,
They all showed a girl dying,
And then I just stopped having them,
But a week later my grandmother died,
I know it was coincidence but something about it I never really got over,
I'm not afraid but I am cautious of what I dream,
I gained full fearlessness when my brother told me that he feels like he has to wake up sometimes from a dream but he always remembers they are your dreams and you can control what they are.

Life is the nightmare, live in your happiest dreams.
