Dusk Poem by Ruta Mohapatra

Dusk

Rating: 5.0

Slowly, steadily, crawls the time
Like a drop of water
On a gentle incline

Lonely days and lonely nights
Empty dreams in gentle eyes
So serene and quiet

Quietly, steadily fades away
The many bylanes of memories lane
Overgrown with weeds

No fights left in the feeble soul
That lost and lost and cares no more
For the guiles of life

The fading sunlight, the faded rose
A closing day, a closing life
Still linger a while
