Cancer Poem by Ruta Mohapatra

Cancer

Rating: 5.0

Some words send a chill
Down everyone's spine,
No matter how strong one is!
No matter how positive one is!

Sometimes she sits and wonders,
Whether reaching the stars,
Whether digging for diamonds,
Are more important than finding a cure!

A cure for the deadly diseases
That strike without discrimination,
Anytime, anywhere, young and old,
Shaking up even the brave and the bold!

I think a key thing is getting the right support from loved ones and good friends, though I don't speak from experience of cancer.

My husband was diagnosed with brain cancer at the end of 2020.He has undergone radiation and chemo. He was doing fine until his recent MRI.Now he has a tumor on his Pituitary gland. It just doesn't seem to end.

Not always, Sir! There are survivors but they go through a lot of pain.

A prayer for all cancer patients. May they all emerge back into normal life with proper treatment. Our beloved Poet Robert is a great example.......10

I agree, Madam! There are survivors but I hope the treatment can be more endurable, less painful and less expensive!
