Cancer
Some words send a chill
Down everyone's spine,
No matter how strong one is!
No matter how positive one is!
Sometimes she sits and wonders,
Whether reaching the stars,
Whether digging for diamonds,
Are more important than finding a cure!
A cure for the deadly diseases
That strike without discrimination,
Anytime, anywhere, young and old,
Shaking up even the brave and the bold!
Indeed, so true! The word 'cancer sends a chill down the spine. But there brave cancer survivors
May God save mankind from this dreadful disease. Really a poignant rendition written with insight. Thanks for sharing and do remain enriched.
My husband was diagnosed with brain cancer at the end of 2020.He has undergone radiation and chemo.He was doing fine until his recent MRI.Now he has a tumor on his Pituitary gland.It just doesn't seem to end.
Awesome poem penned; cancer is fatal disease to invite the ultimate death!
Not always, Sir! There are survivors but they go through a lot of pain.
A prayer for all cancer patients. May they all emerge back into normal life with proper treatment. Our beloved Poet Robert is a great example.......10

I think a key thing is getting the right support from loved ones and good friends, though I don't speak from experience of cancer.
