Dying To Love You Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Dying To Love You

Thoughts of lovely Sophia place upon myself, a sorrow
The first breath I take releases a cry of mourning
Yet in my mother's arms a peaceful, calm quiets the calling

A voice so soft fades eternity
Bringing all that was once before, forgotten
Though eternal, must wait yet another day
When after the evening lays my soul to rest
Inside another grave

Slowly I digress as of my last goodbye
Yielding ever and a day for her
Before forever can be mine

Seventh Heaven chimed the bells
For all mankind to rise
She awoke my soul with her tender lips
Much too early before my time

In death I wake held in her arms
With only a moment, for just one kiss
Until the end of time allows us both
Eternal happiness
