Each Daffodil Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Each Daffodil

Lovely flower, dear sweet daffodil
When once only green; Has changed this grassy hill
A return of summer follows soon
For now a sea of yellow fills

Barefoot above the flow of yellow sheen
Stirring softly within the flowers, sweet
Tiny birds are passing, so busy
Though aware are truly bees

Buzzing busy, tiny bees
Fast and swift ignore a giant me
They tickle so, atop of feet
Not once a single sting

Walking among the golden daffodils
Loafing about a dreamlike, fragrant hill
A yellow, lovely gown of silk
Fading away the afternoon

Dear my own, Before the joyful flowers sleep
When once again slopes become off shades of green
Beyond present moments of a child's Spring
Each daffodil and me
