Here comes the welcome, early summer rain;
Softening; healing the obstinate ground;
Replenishing flowers in parched gardens;
Releasing the sweet scent of petrichor;
Part soil; and part ethereal fluid:
That is believed to flow like blood wine in
The veins of the gods; o nature's magic!
Soon rainbows, aligned with hope, will emerge.

A fine poem Dominic, so superbly well penned displaying great imagery for one and all. It already gives me a refreshing and delicious feeling when wantonly caught in a summer's warm rain. 10++ and keep writing them good sir.
Thanks Shaun...I've always appreciated the rain in summer...can't abide too many baking hot days in a row.
Thanks Shaun..this was one of the poems I submitted to the magazine, I mentioned, for possible publication in mid July.
