Early Works - Of Time And Change Poem by David Harris

Early Works - Of Time And Change

Rating: 5.0

Cloudy mornings of no reply
no twinkle of diamonds
sparkle your eyes
no break in the clouds
for the sun to shine through
no time to search
oh, where are you?

Land of a million disasters before
of sun and tepid soil
of skin glistening sweat
of heartaches and deep regret
of maiden lost afar
oh, who will search?

World where there is no return
lost from the lives of man
hope of no refrain
strangers in a time of change
no time to stop
oh, please look around.

A world of half-forgotten friends
happy times long ago
memories persist to haunt
the excitement of a meeting
sadness reflects the time
oh where did it go?
