Early Works - Take Heed Poem by David Harris

Early Works - Take Heed

Take heed ole wayfaring stranger
take heed to disaster cometh,
the stars are blind to morals,
as morals are blind to life.

Take heed ole saintly fool
take heed in your wooden ship,
the sea has crushed many a man
as many a man has crushed life.

Take heed, take heed
hear what I say
there goes no tomorrow
only borrowed today.
