Gordon Jerome

Earned - Poem by Gordon Jerome

It matters not what the world thinks of me
I shall continue to be who I wish to be
I will not change to follow the trend
Like a mighty oak I will not bend
I live by my rules simple and true
Do unto others as they do too you
Mistreatment from me no one need fear
For right from the start I hold everyone dear
I do not judge you by how another may care
To put it quite simply it simply just isn’t fair
Very few if any have ever fell from my grace
For within my heart each and all have a place
I may not agree with your own point of view
Or enjoy all the things that you like to do
But a new perspective can open a mind
To great possibilities yet to find.
“closing thought”
Never judge another without a clear point of view
And respect all others if you wish respect for you
