Earthly Trail Poem by John Leroy Maxwell

Earthly Trail

Rating: 5.0

A remorseful walker took a stroll
To cleanse his mind, and purge his soul
With hope in mind for future life
Not think of past, so filled with strife
Amends to make for disrespect, intolerance,
fraud and much neglect
Which way to turn, the path so blurred,
with uncertainty in the way
He saw a Golden Image up ahead, then
knelt down to pray
Please, my God, release me from the wrong
I've sowed througout
Let me walk with You in Heaven, free from
earthly fears and doubt
I'll follow You forever, and Your Gospel I
will hail
And pave the way for others, as they walk
the Earthly Trail
