Easier To Show Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Easier To Show

If you left me behind,
To find another to love.
Believing me,
And my thoughts of you leaving...
Will cause me grief and suffering.
It may or may not,
Bring tears to my eyes to have them drop.
To remember you and wish you well.
I am not one to reminisce,
Our times together...
Had not always been cheerful.
Nor did we have many visits to hell.

My love I gave to you,
Did not stop what I've got.
To deplete the stock.
Freezing my heart to harden like a rock.
You and I both shared to know love.
And...
All of my love,
You did not take with you to go!
No.
You just made it easier for me to show it.
