Easter Confessional Poem by Paul Storm

Easter Confessional

as the clock
touches midnight
into Easter's birth

sleepless

you enter
my thoughts
wondering
when you became
my religion

my sanctuary

may a cloth
of love cover us
our biology beyond
my friend this Easter
and keep us one

always

and may its stains
transcribe
the sacrifices
we made
and shall make
in time

together

so let me confess
my sins
and be reborn
in your embrace

redeemed

my friend this Easter
together we enter
a new world
a new light
endless
in this hour
i pray
always

The sexes fall in love but only complete existence mated. It's fair to say this in religious language, all right.

You really have a mastery of simple language to communicate grand thoughts. This is a fine understated work.
