Easy Come To Go Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Easy Come To Go

Nothing done with sacrifice.
And unselfishly proven to do.
Should those who benefit,
Seek ways to undo.
With sabotage on their menu.

So many get caught up in envy.
And jealousies to prove,
What it is they do best.
To not accept who it is,
That wishes more for them success.

But...
Easy come to go,
Are the ones who know...
If they sought attention to seek it,
Why would they have a need to believe...
Receiving the spotlight.
Beaming down to shine upon themselves alone,
Would be better shown...
Radiating to reflect,
Off of faces embracing...
Applause to get as 'they' take bows.
Condoned by those who remain unknown.

While the one who is claimed,
Wanting fame and attention...
Is seen standing in the audience cheering.
Avoiding any attention.
Not wanting their involvement,
Nor their name to be mentioned.
