Easy Dismissal Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Easy Dismissal

I remember Lord Buddha’s teachings
And need not go further searching
It was clear and straight
No more prejudice or fight

One of the best court dancers
With proud feeling once offered
Buddha said “you wait till I come back”
And show me how far you can remain beautiful

When Lord Buddha returned
He couldn’t recognize and inquired
She fell down on his feet and apologized
The importance great sainthood was realized

“Beauty is joy forever”
No one has denied it ever
Even though some people may be hiding the truth
It needed no more proof

Now court dancer was afraid of death
She only wanted to ask an apology before last breathe
Still the love remains universal
No one can come out with easy dismissal

Easy Dismissal
