Echo Poem by Ima Ryma

Echo

In ancient Greek mythology
Young nymph, Echo, was eyed by Zeus.
His wife Hera enraged did be,
And on Echo a curse let loose.
The only words Echo could say
Were the last words spoken to her.
When she met Narcissus one day,
She fell in love with him for sure,
But just could repeat his words of
The loving feelings that he had.
Thus Narcissus did fall in love
With himself, Echo was so sad.

Soon Echo was no longer found,
Except a faint repeating sound.
