Echo - Poem by Hayley Oxborough

Trembling circles upon the water
sunlight glistening in my eyes
but still it feels like frost
memories forever lasting, lost

As the sun fades
and the wasted days emerge
I smile at the sadness
and feel greatful for all that has gone

Like unseen shadows, the days depart
broken souls, empty heart
And now the days are shorter
Trembling circles upon the water
