The undesirable outcome I've completely missed,
not near a fairy tale sealed with a kiss.
The person I realized I wanted to be,
to me no longer seems within reach.
With You in life the tables were turned,
though now it seems that You've left me to burn.
I've tried to better myself from start to finish,
not knowing Your feelings would so soon diminish.
This person You've made me want to be,
without You I'm no longer able to see.
'My Light' the soul within me would plea,
your inspiration could have led me there effortlessly.
