Egypt On The Brink Of Impact Storm Poem by Terence George Craddock (Spectral Images and Images Of Light)

Egypt On The Brink Of Impact Storm

Rating: 5.0

A storm has been threatening
on dark horizons for decades
suddenly after revolution in Tunisia
how swiftly has protest arisen
how swiftly swarms freedom gains.
Cry Cry Freedom Throw Off Chains.

Lightning protests scream attention
demand democracy free elections.
Mubarak civilian torture of political
criticism included savage abuses,
random arrest, extra-judicial killings.
Brutal harsh inhumane immoral insane.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Hosny Soliman 12 October 2011

Men and women ridding shoulders Inflamed throats of fire and blood Crying out with pain and anguish People wanted: To overthrow the regime To get rid of pain and injustice To get rid of dismal life full of humiliation Complete freedom or certain death From hearts all are reiterate and repeat
