Electricity (English Sonnet) Poem by Gert Strydom

Electricity (English Sonnet)

Now the Springs African National Congress regime
is making me irate, livid and angry
where it's as in Lodeyko as if by scheme
they really want it no power to be.

After six days without any power
it was on again for more than a day
and now I do slowly count every hour.
This do a totalitarian regime portray,

that pushes people to live primitively,
do out a horrid kind of new life spell
without care for any basic necessity
are furious when you do about this tell

where my country falls apart by design,
or ineptitude and it's no longer mine.
