Elucidation Poem by Amitava Sur

Elucidation

Rating: 5.0

One day I appeared on this earth
With my body and a mind.
But that also I realized to be created
By someone other than me.
So nothing of this being is truly mine.

Later, working out the body
And exercising this mind,
I gathered knowledge and wisdom
And realized that
I am also a part of the ABSOLUTE.

Then this enlightened I
Can very well realize
That everything in this universe
Truly belongs to me.

As I own the riches and fortune
Then distress and hunger are also mine!

From that stage onward
I cannot be cruel or an one eyed,
I cannot be a miser, selfish nor dominating,
And not hankering for anything.

By loving everything that I find
Will witness the infinite peace divine
Realizing the real truth behind
That nothing is truly of mine
But I own this whole universe
So rich a person am I
That nothing I need anymore
Except the wisdom of DIVINE.

A very deep and profound poem, Amitava! Thought-provoking at it's best! In this poem you went in a complete circle, while reaching illuminating truths within your being. Takes my breath away, leaves me speechless! The first five lines are starkly amazing! ! Also, the last line: 'So nothing is truly mine' - yet at the same time realizing that you are also a part of the ABSOLUTE, therefore needing nothing anymore except wisdom of the Divine. Truly amazing insight, Amitava, you may have 100 - 10's! ! I've never heard things explained quite like you have done here, Amitava. You have truly witnessed the infinite peace of the Divine. Great write! Thank you, RoseAnn
