Embellishments To Deceive Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Embellishments To Deceive

Listen.
And with this done to do,
Carefully.
The ones who continue,
To talk about themselves.
Seem more trying to convince,
Others of their accomplishments.
Than many who choose,
To do what they have done...
Not to brag about it.
Since they have no reason,
To reveal their insecurities.
If they have them to expose.
Like those who seek attention to get.
With this to receive.
Leaving few to disbelieve,
Their embellishments are deceiving!
