Embers Of Desire Poem by Subhas Chandra Chakra

Embers Of Desire

Rating: 5.0

Two hearts ablaze
with passion's fire
They danced,
they laughed,
they never tire
But as the flames grew
higher and higher
Their love consumed them
like a pyre.

The heat of their love
was too intense.
And as they burned,
they lost all sense.
Of time and space,
of joy and pain
Only the fire of their love remained.

Now their love is
but embers and ash
A memory of a love
that was too rash,
But still,
the embers of desire burn-
A reminder of
the love they yearn.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
In the heart of every human being, there exists a longing for love and companionship, a desire to connect with someone who understands us and sees us for who we truly are. But love is not always a fairytale. It can be messy, painful, and complicated, a journey of two burning hearts that may not always be on the same path.
