In vain a love so ever caring
Now in shame has still remained
Only for you, forever darling
Where shall love carry on the blame
Howbeit, a giver's lonely 'desire' must suffer
Has thy lover only been to thee a slave
Passion weighed in heartache for a treasure
No love shall ever last this way
For now the embers flicker in the darkness
Left in place of a fire, Once a beautiful flame
Linger on my heart's desire
On behalf of love before it changed
To thee my lovely lover
Into the night when I hear the echo of your name
In my sleep I shall always remember
The sweetness before you went away.
