Embroidered Garments Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Embroidered Garments

A broken vessel,
Teach us your path;
And like the greetings to the children of men!
But, show us your ways to be on this righteous path always.

Don't be like the horse or the mule which has no understanding,
For the earth is established on seas and floods;
But, hatred is now seen in the eyes of many.

Why do you boast f your evil? !
For the green olive tree is standing and watching;
And like embroidered garments in the land of your muse.

Is this what you are looking for? !
Then, think twice before you carry along that gun;
For he earth is established on seas and floods.

My love is scented with myrrh, aloes and cassia;
But, action speaks louder than words! !
So, flee from evil things.

Try the reality,
Try the truth!
For the truth is for free;
And come and taste the sweet of love!
For, flattering lips are not needed over here,
But the request of the humble will always lead the way.

Incline your mind to my poems,
For, there is a crown of gold on my head;
And like the joy of the coconut in the land of my muse,
Because, action speaks louder than words!

Green is equal to yellow and blue,
Orange is equal to yellow and red,
Black is equal to red and blue,
So, try to learn from my muse always!
For you are my son and, this day i have begotten you;
But the humble ones will swim in my lake of love always.

I am among the lions!
But their own nets will take their feet! !
For, a shield will always surround me;
But, a cry of conquest is like a lomnely person in the wilderness.

Where is your hope? !
Tell me if your know;
For, i came out from my mother's womb to tell my story,
And like a champion to run a race!
But, evening, morning and at noon i do pray for my life on this earth.
