Emma's White New Year - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Emma's White New Year - Lincoln Park Zoo

It is now twenty twenty two.
The New Year has brought loads of snow
Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo.
And Emma, the otter, does know
That one way for celebration
Is to dig into the white stuff,
An opportunity for fun,
And Emma cannot get enough.
For her the snow is a delight,
A fresh new toy in which to play,
Turning her whiskers tickled white,
For her a Happy New Year's Day.

A time and place that ought to be,
Snow lets Emma play otterly.
