Empire Poem by G J Salgado

Empire

Heavy are the bones
That carry the throne
Who wears the crown
Of the kingdom upside down
Who lights the eternal fire
Upon a sacred empire

The making of a perfect Queen
That never needed such a King
Who dances whenever she's alone
And the one who rules her own home
In a kingdom that she built
She'll never attempt to admit her guilt

Ruling a world that forgave her
As she brought them all to order
That is where her story begins
It's something that she effortlessly defends
Soon she'll grow wings that will soar into heaven
As she realizes that she has reached the end...
