Emptiness, At The Parting Hour (Of A Lunch Date) Poem by james watkin

Emptiness, At The Parting Hour (Of A Lunch Date)

The last farewell wink
Day's; sun-bright.
One gust. One sigh, seized on!
Not for it.

Under a shaken
Host of stars
A mournful universe
Dew-eyed, lit

One, head-down, face drawn.
At which spot
From where his own goodbyes
Rose. Death's pit!
