Empty House Poem by Ray Hansell

Empty House

Rating: 5.0

A snow flake landed in my hand
I stood and watched it as it melt
Because some times in love
That's just how my heart felt

I always love them for a while
But not as long as I should have
I stood there in the falling snow
Knowing I probably could have

Maybe that's why today
I'm sitting here all alone
In a big empty house
That longs to be a home
