Emulated To Imitate Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Emulated To Imitate

It does not matter,
Who, what or the reasons why...
Goalposts are moved,
In all fields of play.
Whenever it becomes noticeable,
There are more than just a few...
Emulated to imitate.
Receiving the attention.
In those games claimed created,
By the ones who can only cheat and steal.
To accomplish whatever they do,
For the perception of winning.
However...
There are others,
Observing with binoculars, telephoto cameras.
Microscopes and anything else they can find,
Trying to determine...
How they can better do,
Than they view as true champions.
Seldom declared to be the winners they are.
Without being obviously watched and monitored.
For every movement done seen they do.
To study to its smallest detail.

Although unknown...
Being profiled is a way of life,
For the ones proving they have been blessed...
With 'something' many try,
But can not seem to quite reproduce.
As effectively to achieve the desired results.
