Encouragement - Poem by Jim Rubin

Kind words blessed with
Crystal cakes baked in
Honey basted crock pots
Over slow flames churning in
Motherhood…fuel the will to wake
Up every fourth hour, watching the
Clock for reasons, songs in chests fighting
Hard to clear runways for take off,
Writing notes with the clouds,
Describing faces in the rocks,
Still in their knowing,
Defiant through the fog,
Moving mountains aside to
Hear their name
Whispered in the wind
