Endless Waiting
I opened all the doors
Of my little world
To welcome her
In a befitting manner.
The sky was blue and bright
Birds were twittering
At the edge of pine wood
For the last time of the year.
I always thought
She would come
At the appointed time.
I waited endlessly,
The time arrived
But she didn’t.
We were tied
With an unseen rope
She loosened the knot
In a strange way.
I could understand
She was leaving
My world’s boundary
For ever and ever.
Still I open
All my doors
And wait endlessly.
I know she will not come
But I perceive that
Death is approaching
Slowly and slowly
And entering into my world
Let death come,
Surely death will consume
All my agony and pain.
