Escape Poem by Carlos Perez

A letter to you I am writing, darling.
The hate...it is rougher than the ground where I am falling.
It was the moment when I want to make things clear
That the magic starts to disappear.

I've ran, I've collapsed, I've stood up, and I've fought,
but it was of the control of my desires that I never thought.
Tear me apart, or throw me to the mud.
Squeeze my heart, and drink my bittersweet blood.

It is okay for you to be temporarily driven to madness,
But it is the grim look on your face that causes me great devastation.
I may have done wrong, but I haven't done any harm, so I beg for your forgiveness.
Please, don't let my mind fall into the dark edge of destruction.

I have made tons of sacrifices,
And I'd make even more if it's just to be with you.
My mind is split into slices,
Especially in this period of blue.

I do not want you to go,
Not when we haven't even spoken yet.
We still have too many things to know,
So it would be a shame to let this opportunity go away while we still haven't met.

I'll do anything for you, my dear.
My body could melt just by knowing that you're near.
Please, give me another chance.
My world would be better simply with your good glance.

If from this prison I escape,
I shall be your hero with no cape.
