A Sonnet For The Romantics Poem by Carlos Perez

A Sonnet For The Romantics

Rating: 5.0

Oh, how beautiful is the mind of a romantic.
True love is their key to happiness.
Their heart is the eye which reveals an open visage, like the Atlantic.
An open heart and an open mind will unlock their life's sweetness.

A real romantic is very wise.
Their emotions are expressed in the deepest way.
For being silent and patient, their destined love will soon rise.
'I have finally found you' is what they always say.

Most of the romantics are born from a shadow.
But love leads them to the path of light.
They have all learned in the times of sorrow.
In their most unexpected day, they will have a tremendous sight.

It is their best day, when they will hold their soulmate's hand and look at the sky above.
And then they'll say: 'So this is the wonderful thing called love'.
