Slamming doors
Breaking windows
Tearing down all barricades
I need to get out
I hear your voice screaming
Your cries are deafening
I can hear you tears falling
We need to get out
I can't feel you anymore
You've opened your doors
Repaired all the broken glass
Put up new walls
I'm locked outside
Peering through the glass
I see your jagged smirk
You're laughing at me
You've shut me out
Now I'm the one screaming
Crying
I want back in
Sanity isn't safe
Let me in
I want to be in my shattered cradle of safety
I want to hear you screaming
See you cry again
You've tricked me....
My escape from insanity
I loved the 'shattered cradle of safety'. Very good poem Ambrose. Sincerely, Mary
