Evaporating Thoughts Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Evaporating Thoughts

Resembling joy and happiness as I ride bareback through the desert,
circling mazes of this earthly life, landscapes rotating through-
out the years.

Finding the wonder and beauty of nature as it blossoms in flowers
growing all around us, picturesque and brilliant as they dance and
sway in an early evening breeze tonight.

Rushing into aromas of tomorrow's visions, heart and eyes wide open
looking to heaven as life is drained by death in one last glance
of yesterdays love.

One final memory given as a gift, as we leave this earth in the
throes of sacredness, holding us in death's grasp and passing the
borders of heaven beyond earth, thoughts evaporating into nothing-
ness at last.
