Even In Rhyme Poem by Francis Duggan

Even In Rhyme

Though a rhymer is not one of this literary time
So much to write of in Nature even in rhyme
And rhymes of Nature rhymers do write every day
Just for the love of it without hope of fame or pay
Nature to rhyme them always does inspire
And of writing rhymes to and about her they never seem to tire
And though by the literary critics rhymers are counted out
So much beauty in Nature for rhymers to write rhymes about
The birds and animals and the flowers and the trees and the bees
And the sweet scent of Summer hay blowing in the breeze
Rhymes of the sea and the inland waterway
That babbles on it's way to the saltwater bay
Rhymes of fish, reptiles and amphibians and creatures of land and sea
And of the many colours of Nature always beautiful to see.
