Evening And Night Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

Evening And Night

A soft wind has started to blow
As the evening falls across the land
With stars and moon coming out
The sky begins to dazzle and looks grand

A song is heard from a distance
As darkness gets thicker across the dales
From the roofs of huts whorls of
Smokes rise up leaving behind fading trails

A sound of bells comes flitting
As evening prayers are sung in temples
Birds take their last bath of the day
Sending across the stream dancing ripples

A silence reigns across the land
Lamps are lit to welcome the night
Whispering wind takes the clouds
In its flow and trees begin to swing in delight
